The U.S. Air Forces projects the life time costs of the KC-46 will grow 11 percent due to increased usage.
Approximately 60 total aircrews will be added to the KC-46 force in order to facilitate surge capabilities and to meet contingency operations requirements.
Active-duty and reserve units will also share aircraft, pushing up the KC-46 utilization rates.
