South Africa’s Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula revealed on Tuesday that 12 out of the 26 Gripen fighter jets bought have been mothballed.
There are only six qualified pilots and the squadron flew around 150 hours due to budget cuts.
