The U.S. Navy has given Boeing a $19.2 million contract to design and build the High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare Weapon Capability (HAAWC) Air Launch Accessory (ALA).
The HAAWC ALA allows the P-8A to fire the Mark 54 torpedo from high altitudes by turning the torpedo into a glide weapon.
