South Korea selects AH-64E, KAI to supply Surions for RoK Marines

South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Procurement Administration (DAPA) announced Boeing’s AH-64E is the winner of the attack helicopter competition.

Boeing will have to deliver 36 aircraft by 2018 under a US$1.6 billion contract.

DAPA also announced separately that the KAI Surion will be bought for the RoK Marine Corps. 40 helicopters will be need by the Marine Corps for their landing operations in border islands.
