Danish F-16 on Baltic air-policing mission had bird strike, engine damaged

Two Royal Danish Air Force F-16AM fighters had to make an emergency landing at Tallinn airport, Estonia on Apr. 29 after one aircraft had a bird strike.

The plane is currently parked at Tallinn after engineers determined that the bird strike had damaged the engine.

Both jets were part of NATO’s Baltic air-policing mission and their role is taken over by French Mirage F1CRs today.
