The U.S. Navy has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the Presidential Helicopter Replacement Program (VXX).
A fixed-price incentive engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contract is expected to be awarded in the middle of next year.
The Navy is expected to buy a total of 21 aircraft with four being converted from test aircraft.
