Raytheon says JSOW equally capable to Lockheed’s LRASM

Raytheon Vice President Harry Schulte said the Pentagon should have an open competition for the next generation anti-ship missile.

Lockheed Martin was selected by DARPA to develop the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) based on the AGM-158 JASSM-ER.

Schulte argued that the powered version of the AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) will be a cheaper alternative.
