Chafed electrical wire caused F-22 crash

The USAF lost a F-22 last November at Tyndall Air Force Base when a fire broke out in the jet’s left accessory bay.

A chafed wire had burned through a hydraulic line, causing the generator to go offline. Arcing occurred when the pilot tried to restart the generator, this lead to a fire which went out of control.
