Indian government changed specs to make AgustaWestland sole bidder in VVIP helicopter tender

India’s comptroller and auditor general (CAG) questioned why the government changed the requirements for VVIP helicopters so that AgustaWestland can compete with the AW101.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) later mandate that the cabin height be 1.8 metre, this resulted in the AW101 being the only helicopter to meet the specification.
