The U.S. Air Force, in conjunction with the Navy, recently carried out a test using the JSTARS to track low-flying UAVs and ultralights.
During the four exercise sorties, flying off the coast of Southern California, crews on board the T3 JSTARS test jet tested the new capabilities to the radar by attempting to detect and track the UAVs.
