India to retire MiG-21FL Dec. 11

India will phase out the MiG-21FL on Dec. 11 with a phasing out ceremony at the air force station in Kalaikunda, West Bengal.

205 MiG-21FLs, designated Type 77 and nicknamed Trishul (“Trident), were built in India between 1966 and 1972.
