IAF complains PAK-FA is expensive, unable to meet performance targets

Business Standard has reviewed the minutes of a meeting chaired by India’s secretary of defense production in which the IAF criticized the decision to go ahead with the PAK-FA.

The main three complains against the PAK-FA: Moscow is reluctant to share critical design information with India; the fighter’s current AL-41F1 engines are inadequate; and the project sucks up a large percentage of IAF’s capital budget.
