Australia’s Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced his government’s plan to buy the Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton.
The exact number of aircraft and its introduction into service with Australia will be determined later in 2016.
The unmanned surveillance aircraft will be based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide.
