Reuters reported that the F-35 could be making its international debut in the airshow circuit this July with appearances at the Royal International Air Tattoo and Farnborough air show.
Sources say there are no issues currently that could stop the jet from flying across the Atlantic for the shows.
One of the F-35s that will make the trip could be a B-model built for Britain and with a British pilot at the controls.
