Taiwan’s military has revealed that it scrambled fighters four times on Aug. 25 to intercept PLA Y-8 reconnaissance aircraft entering its ADIZ.
The four intrusions occurred at 08:33, 10:56, 14:31 and 16:57. Mirage 2000s from 499th Squadron were scrambled during the first intrusion. IDFs from 443rd Squadron were airborne for the remaining three intercepts. Each time, RoCAF pilots visually identified the Chinese aircraft.
