Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also chairman of Central Military Commission (CMC), has conferred the honorary title of “Carrier Fighter Hero Test Pilot” to J-15 pilot Dai Mingmeng.
Dai is the first person to land a J-15 on aircraft carrier Liaoning.
