F-16s intercepted SR-22 with unconscious pilot on board

Two American F-16s were scrambled to intercept a single-engined SR-22 on Aug. 30 after the aircraft failed to land at Manassas, Virginia, and continued into restricted air space in Washington, D.C.

The fighter pilots found the pilot was unconscious and stayed with the plane until it eventually ran out of fuel and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
