Commercial aircraft chartered by U.S. military landed in Iran

A commercial aircraft chartered by the U.S. military had to make an unscheduled stop in southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas for a few hours due to errors with its flight plan.

The plane had taken off from Bagram airfield, Afghanistan and was bound for Dubai when Iranian air traffic controllers directed the aircraft to return to Bagram. However, the captain radioed the aircraft does not have sufficient fuel to turn back and was then vectored to land in Iran.
