The U.S. Navy has been negotiating with Japan to buy over its retired fleet of MH-53 mine-clearing helicopters.
An official email obtained by The Pilot indicates the Navy is not just keen to harvest the Japanese rotocraft for parts but to return at least one aircraft back to flight if possible.
