JTAC fired after friendly fire incident in Afghanistan

The Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) who called in a B-1B air strike that killed five U.S. servicemen in Afghanistan on Jun. 9 has been fired by the U.S. Air Force.

Confirming the news to Washington Times, Air Combat Command said the JTAC had been selected for “involuntary separation” before the incident.
