A Vietnam Airlines A321 and a military Mi-17 came dangerously close to each other over Tan Son Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City on Oct. 29.
Initial investigation found that the military air traffic controller at the airport had not coordinate with his civilian counterpart and cleared the helicopter to the same altitude as the airliner.
