No American aircraft carrier in East Asia for four months next year

Nikkei reports that there will be a four-month vacuum with no U.S. aircraft carrier in East Asia waters next year after USS George Washington departs.

The carrier’s replacement, USS Ronald Reagan, won’t arrive until spring of 2015.
