U.S. Army’s Top Gun course

The U.S. Army has a six-week Top Gun program whereby soldiers are trained to operate their Air Defense Artillery systems with more confidence.

The challenging program was initiated shortly after Operation Iraqi Freedom. Senior officers took note of the problems that crop up during the war and took steps to correct them. The course only takes in the top one percent of all Air Defense Artillery operators and not everyone graduates at the end of the day.
