South Korea to develop spy satellites, new SAM this year

South Korea’s Agency for Defense Development (ADD) will ink a contract with a private company this October to develop five spy satellites.

The first satellite is scheduled to be launched in 2020 and all must be deployed by 2022.

Meanwhile, Seoul will also start work on an indigenous L-SAM missile that is compatible with THAAD.
