HMH-462, 463 and HMLA-367 to deploy 22 helicopters to Australia

A large number of U.S. Marine Corps helicopters from San Diego and Hawaii will be deployed to Darwin, Australia in early spring.

They will form the aviation combat element of the Marine Rotational Force-Darwin. This is the first time the Marines rotate to Darwin with attack and utility helicopters.

HMH-462 and 463 will contribute four CH-53Es each while HMLA-367 will contribute eight AH-1Ws and six UH-1Ys.
