Multi-player video game teaches U.S. Navy sailors how to defend ships against missile attacks

The U.S. Navy has developed a new multi-player video game, called “Strike Group Defender: The Missile Matrix,” to train sailors on how to defend ships from missile attacks.

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) said the game teaches sailors to make split-second decisions on whether to employ soft or hard kill options to bring down an enemy missile.

The game has now been deployed to 30 ships and response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic.
