Indonesian Air Force chief hopes government will buy Su-35 to replace F-5

Indonesia’s Air Force chief, Vice Marshall Agus Supriatna, has called on the government to fulfill its wish to buy the Su-35 to replace its F-5 Tiger.

“We hope the government fulfills our wish to purchase Sukhoi Su-35s. All can place orders, but we, as the operators, want jets over generation 4 to be ordered,” Supriatna said.

Supriatna added that air force engineers will have no problem maintaining the aircraft as Indonesia currently operates the Su-27 and Su-30.
