South Korea’s plan of building its own indigenous fighter has stumbled after only one bid was received by Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) in the tender that closed on Feb. 9.
Only Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) submitted a bid while Korea Air failed to submit its proposal.
DAPA had hoped to selected a winner next month, it will now restart the bidding process today and close it on Feb. 24.
