B-52H, 61-0007, returns to active duty from “Boneyard”

The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group has managed to restore a B-52H, tail number, 61-0007, back to active service for the first time.

The bomber left Davis-Monthan Air Force Base on Feb. 13 with Col. Keith Schultz at the controls.

The U.S. Air Force decided to regenerate 61-0007 after a mishap at Barksdale Air Force Base, left a B-52 severely damaged last year.
