Boeing has given an update on the testing of a wing-kit for the JDAM. Flight testing conducted by Boeing and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has shown the the new JDAM ER can be release more than 38 nm from its target.
RAAF Hornets successfully release the weapon over Woomera Test Range in Australia each time. Weapon release from different altitudes, from 10,000 to 40,000 ft, were tested.
