Israeli Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel has ordered a day-long halt to all training exercises after a string of safety incidents.
The most serious incident involved two fighter pilots who nearly collided in mid-air. The offending pilot was sentenced to five days in military prison.
