India to exercise option for 38 more PC-7s, buy 1 C-130J, request more info on US-2i

India has decided to exercise an option to buy 38 more Pilatus PC-7 Mark IIs and gave the green light to buy the HTT-40 when it is available.

The IAF has a requirement for 181 training aircraft, of which 68 will eventually be HTT-40s.

The government also made a decision to buy one C-130J to replace one that had crashed in an accident.

Regarding the US-2i amphibious airplane, India has decided to seek more information from Japan before making an decision.
