During its first mission in January, a single Harrier deployed four Laser JDAMs from two DITERs. This represented 50 percent of the Laser Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) used during the insurgent airstrike.

The production units were originally scheduled for delivery in June. However, NAVAIR’s Precision Strike Weapons (PMA-201) program office was able to hasten the delivery once the USMC requested accelerated delivery of the DITERs.

Four flight-test units were delivered within a month after the NAVAIR team executed all required testing and documentation.

Each DITER will allow the Harrier to carry three JDAMs, for a total of six JDAMs per mission.
