Regional tensions have brought former foes, United States and Vietnam closer together. At a press conference last week, the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam announced that the Pacific Air Forces and the Vietnamese Air Force will cooperate in search-and-rescue operations.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Pacific Air Forces and Secretary of the U.S. Navy will pay a visit to Vietnam this month as well.
