Canada issues RFP to replace CC-115, C-130H

Canada has finally move forward with the plan to replace its aging CC-115 with a new aircraft.

A request for proposals was issued on Mar. 31, ten years after the proposal was announced by the Liberal government of Paul Martin.

What is unique about this contest is that Canada will not be just buying the aircraft outright, companies competing in the exercise has to propose their basing solutions as well.
