USMC will overhaul air-to-air tactics to fit in F-35B

The U.S. Marine Corps is to overhaul its air-to-air tactics, dubbed Hornet Standard Game Plan, in order for its legacy aircraft to fight together with the F-35B.

Without revealing classified portions of the plan, the service said it relied on lessons learn by the U.S. Air Force when the latter integrated the F-22 with the F-16.

In future, all Marine pilots and air controllers will switch to language and terminology used by the U.S. Air Force as well.
