One of only two airworthy Spitfire Mark I to be auctioned

A rare Spitfire Mark 1 that was shot down over Dunkirk 75 years ago is going under the hammer at Christie’s ‘Exceptional Sale’ this July.

The warbird is only one of two of its type to be restored back to flying condition and is expected to sell for around £2.5 million.
