Thales beat Lockheed Martin to provide heli-borne AEW solution to Royal Navy

Britain has decided that the Thales Searchwater radar and Cerberus mission system is the winner for the Royal Navy’s Crowsnest program.

The system will eventually be installed on the Merlin HM.2 helicopter and replaces the Sea King ASaC.7 in 2018.
