Nigerian government sacks military chiefs

Nigeria’s army, air force and naval chiefs have been fired by the country’s President Muhammadu Buhari. The sackings were carried out a month after Amnesty International complained of widespread human rights abuses by troops.

Moscow expects Washington to abandon BMD programs in Europe after Iran deal

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Vienna that the United States is no longer required to develop the Aegis Ashore program and station BMD-capable warships in Europe after a deal was reached to curb Iran’s nuclear ability.
