Both LRS-B designs are “very mature,” extensive testing done

The U.S. Air Force has released some details on the Long Range Strike-Bomber (LRS-B) program during a meeting with outside stakeholders on Sept. 1.

A person with knowledge on the meeting told Defense News that both competing designs are “very mature,” and had gone thru extensive wind tunnel testings and had their stealth characteristics evaluated.

The first five low-rate initial production lots will produce a total of 21 bombers.
