A senior Vietnam People’s Air Force officer has confirmed his country’s purchase of the Israeli SPYDER air defense system.

The information was stated in an article by Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh, commander of Air Defense Forces. It is unclear at the moment whether the country bought the SPYDER-SR (short range) or the SPYDER-MR (medium range).
Vietnam is the second nation after Singapore to operate the SPYDER.
