South Korea ready to field K-SAAM in 2018

The Korean Surface-to-Air Anti-Missile (K-SAAM) has gone thru 22 operational test firings and is on the way to be operational with the Republic of Korea Navy in 2018.

LIG Nex1 will test fire around 10 more rounds before a contract is sign with the Defense Acquisition Program Agency.

The indigenous system is expected to replace the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) on RoKN ships.
