French Air Force wants C-130s to complement A400M

French Air Force Gen. André Lanata told the parliamentary defense committee that his service seeks to have four C-130s in order for them to complement the A400M fleet.

“The C-130 fleet constitutes an indispensable complement to the A400M, particularly for missions conducted by the special forces.”

France needs the aircraft badly in order to plug a gap in helicopter refueling capability in Africa.
