After days of intense competition, the AH-64D team from South Carolina National Guard took home the top performing team award in the inaugural Gunfighter Fly-in helicopter competition.

Maj. Gen. Michael T. McGuire, the adjutant general of the Arizona National Guard, said participating teams left the competition better at their mission than when they arrived.
The competition took place in Arizona and teams from Arizona, Idaho, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah National Guard units participated.
