India forced to use PC-7 MkII for intermediate stage II pilot training

Pilatus Aircraft executive Jim Roche told Flight Global that the Indian Air Force has been forced to train its student pilots in the intermediate stage II phase using the PC-7 MkII.

The IAF had been using the Kiran jet trainer for intermediate stage II while waiting for HAL to deliver the HJT-36. However, the indigenous jet has beset with technical issues.
