Abe to seal deal to produce US-2 in India during state visit

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to sign a deal for the US-2 amphibious aircraft with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming state visit to India.

Economic Times says India will produce the plane locally to satisfy local orders from the military as well as to export the aircraft.

The discussions were given a boost when both Abe and Mobi met at Kuala Lumpur recently and both men jointly agreed to take the initiative forward.
