The South Korean team from Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) – tasked with negotiating the transfer of 21 technologies – has been bolstered with the addition of several Ministry of Foreign Affairs director-level officials.

The move is seen as a bid to strengthen Seoul’s bargaining power as it struggles to get approval to export those technologies, which was part of the F-35 offset deal.
