Turkish light utility helicopter will share same engine with T 129

The CTS800-4AT turboshaft engine that powers the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) T129 attack helicopter will be used on a light utility helicopter the Turkish company is developing.

The engine is a product of a Rolls-Royce and Honeywell partnership called the Light Helicopter Turbine Engine Company (LHTEC).

LHTEC will spend five-years integrating and certifying the CTS800-4AT for the new platform.
