Ex-Spanish aircraft carrier Príncipe de Asturias to be sold as scrap

The Spanish government will sell off its former flagship of the Navy, aircraft carrier Príncipe de Asturias, as scrap. The asking price starts from 4.8 million euros.

Spain had wanted to sell the ship to other Navies with Brazil and Indonesia registering interest but the cost of refurbishing the ship and its lifespan put potential buyers off.
