Japan’s record high defense budget includes 6 F-35s, 4 V-22s and 17 SH-60Ks

A record $42.1 billion defense bill for Japan includes funding for six F-35As, four V-22s and 17 SH-60K naval helicopters.

Money has also been set aside for multi-year procurement of RQ-4s and KC-46As.

The new budget is an increase of 1.5 percent from the current fiscal year.
